CLAIM-2026-08-08-01

Cloudflare announced Cloudflare Wallets and cloudflare.pay in a press release dated 4 August 2026. Handle reservation opened that day; full wallet access, including onramping and offramping funds and the ability to issue Virtual Wallets, is stated as available 'in the coming months'.

Why it matters

Fixes the event date from the actor's own release rather than from coverage, and establishes that the spending machinery is announced but not yet live — which is exactly the window in which architecture decisions are cheap.
