CLAIM-2026-08-14-01
The European Commission published a dedicated complaints channel for downstream providers using general-purpose AI models on 31 July 2026. It is one of three distinct AI Office reporting routes, alongside the general AI Act complaints tool and the AI Act whistleblower tool, and it became usable when enforcement of the general-purpose AI obligations started on 2 August 2026.
Why it matters
It is the only AI Act enforcement route pointed at a team's own model supplier rather than at the team. An engineer shipping agents on someone else's model is a downstream provider and is inside its addressee class by default.
