Article 53(1)(b) requires providers of general-purpose AI models to draw up, keep up to date and make available information and documentation to providers of AI systems that intend to integrate the model, sufficient for them to understand its capabilities and limitations and to comply with their own obligations, containing at minimum the elements set out in Annex XII.

Why it matters

This is the clause that makes supplier documentation a legal entitlement rather than a commercial favour, and the sufficiency test is written from the integrator's point of view.
