EN 18286 is the CEN-CENELEC standard for a quality management system for EU AI Act regulatory purposes, addressing Article 17; its public enquiry closed, its formal vote concluded in June 2026, and the EN was published in July 2026.
Why it matters
It is the first AI Act standard to reach publication, so it sets the template for the four still in draft.
