CLAIM-2026-08-29-13

Article 15(5) of the AI Act provides that "High-risk AI systems shall be resilient against attempts by unauthorised third parties to alter their use, outputs or performance by exploiting system vulnerabilities", while Article 15(4) addresses resilience regarding errors, faults or inconsistencies that may occur within the system.

Why it matters

An agent altering its own execution record is neither an unauthorised party nor a third party, so the cybersecurity paragraph does not reach it; 15(4) reaches faults, not deliberate self-directed rewriting.
