AI Act Article 2(2) provides that for high-risk AI systems classified under Article 6(1) relating to products covered by Section B of Annex I, only Article 6(1), Article 60a and Articles 102 to 112 apply.

Why it matters

It means the AI Act's own high-risk chapter does not attach directly to AI in machinery - a practitioner reading Chapter III and planning against it is planning against the wrong instrument.
