On 7 September 2026 the European Commission confirmed it had received an incident report from OpenAI concerning the DSEWiki episode, declined to say when the report arrived, and said it remains in close contact with the company.

Why it matters

It fixes what actually happened this week: a filing exists and the Commission will not date it. Both halves matter — the second is why no clock can be reconstructed from the outside.
