Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 entered into force on 10 December 2024 and its main obligations apply from 11 December 2027; the Article 14 reporting duty did not wait for them.

Why it matters

The two dates are routinely collapsed into one. Separating them is what tells an engineer which duties are live today and which are a 2027 design problem.
