CLAIM-2026-09-14-08
AI Act Article 50(2) places the machine-readable marking duty for synthetic audio, image, video or text on the provider of the generating AI system, and disapplies it where the system performs an assistive function for standard editing or does not substantially alter the input data.
Why it matters
The machine-readable marking duty is the provider's, so a deployer cannot rely on it to identify agent-written artifacts in its own estate.
