OpenAI's help page states that content from services for individuals such as ChatGPT and Codex may be used to train its models, and that by default it does not train on inputs or outputs from ChatGPT Business, ChatGPT Enterprise or the API.

Why it matters

The training default follows the account tier, not the product name. The same Codex installation behaves differently depending on which subscription signed in.
