CLAIM-2026-10-12-17

Data Center Map's published count of operational data centre facilities in the United States, as reported in February 2026, is 3,960 - described as more than the next fourteen countries combined.

Why it matters

Anyone citing a facility count needs to know a second directory gives a materially different number for the same country and year, so the figure cannot be used as a magnitude without naming its source.
