Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1364 of 14 March 2024 obliges EU data centres with at least 500 kW of installed IT power demand to report into a European database, first by 15 September 2024 for calendar year 2023 and thereafter annually by 15 May. Member States may lower the threshold but not raise it.

Why it matters

It is the compliance trigger: above 500 kW the operator is a reporting entity, and the reported PUE and WUE become filed figures rather than internal ones.
