CLAIM-2026-10-13-07
AI Act Article 50(1) binds providers of systems intended to interact directly with natural persons to ensure those persons are informed they are interacting with an AI system, and 50(2) binds providers to mark synthetic output in a machine-readable, detectable format. Article 50 applies since 2 August 2026 and the marking obligation lands 2 December 2026.
Why it matters
Article 50 is the article commentary reaches for, and it is a disclosure duty about the counterparty and the provenance of output, not a veracity duty about an agent's account of its own work.
